I just found out I’ll be heading to Europe for two weeks!! I’ll be hiking the Alps through Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, then taking another week in a destination TBD.
Since this is so spur of the moment, I need to find ways to save money STAT. Everyone says the first thing to do when you’re trying to cut back is to stop eating out. Easier said than done! I don’t know how to cook much, I’m pretty picky, and let’s face it, I really enjoy not having to eat the same boring turkey sandwich everyday for lunch. But I’m going to do it. For the next three weeks, Eat Your Chow is going thrifty.
To begin, some friends and I made brunch at my apartment on Saturday. Here’s my plate: crepes with nutella and strawberries, freshly-grated hash browns, and scrambled eggs with cheese and onions. Not pictured: unlimited mimosas. Maybe there is something to this not eating out business.
