About
Eating my way through the Big Apple and around the world.Always in favor of extraordinary flavor versus saving a few calories, I’m constantly seeking the best restaurants, recipes, and random little food finds. This blog chronicles my discoveries, most of which are located in New York City, the foodie heaven I am fortunate to call home.
I am an editor at Zagat, but all opinions on this blog are mine and have nothing to do with my employer.
I take my photos with a point-and-shoot Canon PowerShot SD850. Which goes to show that if you're passionate about photography but can't afford fancy camera equipment, you can still take quality photos.

What I consider to be the best pancakes in New York. Happy weekend brunching!
Ricotta Pancakes with honeycomb butter, blueberries, strawberries & pure maple syrup. Five Leaves; Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
This weekend, have your butter with a side of pancakes.

And that’s not a statement I make lightly. If you know what’s good for you, get yourself to Orange, immediately.

Brunch starts with a “create your own juice” bar. I did carrot, lemon, and ginger. And they put cucumbers in the water! How thoughtful is that?

Then on to an appetizer of Frushi. Yes, that’s fruit sushi. Fruit, sweet rice, and fruit syrup.

And THEN, the main event. The best thing that I’ve ever ingested: Cinnamon roll pancakes. Two cinnamon pancakes with ooey gooey cinnamon roll filling between them, and icing swirled on top. Two of the best brunch options rolled into one. Must recreate asap.

Sister had the “build your own” scramble with the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. Can this place get any better? No, no it can not. Until next time, Chitown!
